How to get to the Ommaroo Hotel

On leaving the Airport, at the roundabout, take the first left and follow the signs for St Helier (A12). Continue along this road for approximately two to three minutes, then at the roundabout turn right (second exit) and follow the A12 towards St Helier, whilst enjoying the scenic countryside as you approach town. 

At the next roundabout (Beaumont), turn left (first exit) and continue towards St Helier. The road will become a dual carriageway called Victoria Avenue. Continue on this road into the centre of town. You will pass the Grand Hotel on your left and the cinema on your right. You will pass Liberation Square on your left before you drive into the tunnel. Once out of the tunnel, travel straight across the roundabout (third exit) onto La Route du Fort. 

At the second traffic lights turn right into St Clement Road, then take the second road on the right, a sharp right into Cleveland Avenue. You will see the Hotel car park coming up on the left after 50 metres, drive a bit further and turn left through the entrance of the car park.

Regular buses run from the Airport to St Helier’s Liberty Bus Station. Any routes, such as the 15, typically operate frequently and take you all the way to Liberty Bus Station. Once at the Bus Station, change buses and take the Route 1 towards Gorey (the east) and get off at Havre des Pas, almost in front of the Hotel entrance. You can purchase the ticket on the bus and pay with your bank card. You purchase one ticket all the way from the Airport to Havre des Pas. From the Harbour, turn left onto La Route du Port Elizabeth, then drive across the first roundabout. Turn right at the second roundabout towards Gorey and the east, down the slip road, turn onto the middle lane and drive straight ahead through the tunnel. Once out of the tunnel, drive straight across the roundabout (third exit) onto La Route du Fort. 

At the second traffic lights turn right into St Clement Road, then take the second road on the right, a sharp right into Cleveland Avenue. You will see the Hotel car park coming up on the left after 50 metres, drive a bit further and turn left through the entrance of the car park.

The main bus station is just a short walk (seven minutes) from the Harbour. Turn left from the Harbour onto La Route du Port Elizabeth and walk straight up this road, across the first roundabout, change sides at the pedestrian crossing and stay on La Route du Port Elizabeth. At the big roundabout, keep to the right and cross both lanes. 

Walk through the small alleyway in front of you. Here, you will come to a small pedestrian area. Walk all the way to the top, and you can see the Liberty Bus Station on your right. You can purchase the ticket on the bus and pay with your bank card. The destination is called Havre des Pas, and the trip takes around five minutes. The Ommaroo is on Route 4 towards Gorey (the east).

From the Hotel to St Helier (Approximately 10–15 minutes) 

• Exit the Hotel via the main entrance, turn right and head west on Havre des Pas toward the town centre.
• Turn right at the second road into Roseville Street.
• Walk all the way up Roseville Street until you reach the main road, La Route du Fort. Now turn left.
• Use the traffic lights to cross the road and continue walking past the Police Station towards the roundabout.
• Keep to the right, walk across the crossing and take the second road you come to, a small road that leads to Snow Hill car park.
• Walk all the way to the end of the car park and walk down the stairs.
• Walk across Hill Street via the crossing, and you will see the beginning of the high street (Queen Street).

From the Hotel to St Helier (Approximately 5–10 minutes)

• Exit the Hotel via the main entrance, walk across the zebra crossing and turn left.
• The Bus Stop (Havre des Pas W) is around 20 metres down the road, the name ‘BUS’ is written on the tarmac.
• Wait for Route 1 towards St Helier / Bus Station.
• You can find the bus times here, going outbound.
• Take the bus all the way to Liberty Bus Station in the middle of town; from here you can explore St Helier.
• The easiest way to pay is with your bank or credit card once you are on the bus.
• You can also buy a day pass or a weekly pass from the driver. Our bus drivers are a very friendly bunch and are happy to help.
