Summer may be over, but there’s still plenty to enjoy at the Ommaroo Hotel and around our beautiful island this autumn.

One of the greatest pleasures of visiting Jersey is discovering its exceptional food.

Jersey may be known for its beautiful beaches and spectacular coastline, but it's also a fantastic destination for golfers.

Whether you're looking to enjoy a few rounds during a relaxing holiday or planning a golf break with friends, you'll find plenty to keep you busy. Despite the Island's compact size, Jersey is home to six excellent golf courses, each offering its own unique character, challenge and scenery.

At the Ommaroo Hotel, we’re incredibly proud of our team and the hard work they put in every day to create the best possible experience for our guests. Our staff are professional, welcoming and always go the extra mile, working together to make every stay a memorable one.

That’s why it’s so lovely to see another side of our team members and discover what they enjoy doing when they’re off duty. In this blog, one of our Ommaroo team, our Front of House Manager, Ionela, shares five of her favourite things to do in Jersey — offering a little personal insight into the places and experiences she loves most on our beautiful island.

We hope you enjoy discovering Jersey through her eyes!

For more than 40 years, Bergerac has helped put Jersey firmly on the map, with John Nettles’ much-loved portrayal of detective Jim Bergerac showcasing the Island’s beaches, harbours, cliffs, country lanes and historic landmarks to millions of viewers. Now, with Damien Molony starring in the modern reimagining and the first two series filmed partly in Jersey, the third series currently filming on the island, Jersey’s long-standing connection with Bergerac looks set to continue.

There aren't many hotels in Jersey or even around the world that can say they've been welcoming guests for over a century. At the Ommaroo Hotel on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, we're incredibly proud to be one of them.

If you enjoy getting out in the fresh air, you'll love exploring Jersey on foot.

The Island may be small, but it's packed with beautiful places to discover.

The Ommaroo Hotel is delighted to receive the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2026.

The award places our hotel among the top 10% of hotels and hospitality businesses worldwide on Tripadvisor, recognising properties that consistently deliver excellent experiences throughout the year.
