Meet the Team

In Māori culture, it is traditional to greet someone by pressing your nose against theirs. Whilst this isn’t the way the team at the Ommaroo Hotel greet visitors, the warmth of their welcome is just as heartfelt!

Fiona Kerley - Managing Director

Fiona Kerleys family bought the Hotel in 1923. Fiona has stepped into the family business 18 years ago.

Fiona Kerley

Fiona Kerley’s family bought the Hotel in 1926, and she became immersed in the family business from a young age, folding towels and unpacking soaps in exchange for orangeade and Cheeselets from the barman. After training as an accountant, Fiona stepped into the family business 18 years ago.

Fiona and the team have recently added Coast Bar & Bistro and the Terrace to the Hotel portfolio. Over the years, she has modernised the Hotel reservations system as well as its financial and administration systems, and overseen three new websites, along with renovating the Hotel’s 82 bedrooms and updating other areas of the Hotel, including the addition of a new swimming pool, helping to enhance the customer experience and attract different audiences.

Fiona is keen to celebrate the Hotel’s exceptional team, recognising that their unwavering attention to detail and unparalleled hospitality give the 82-bedroom property its unique identity.

Norbert Stump

Norbert is a well-travelled hospitality professional who began his training in hotels in Germany before expanding his experience across multiple continents, including roles in London, South Africa, Croatia, and Singapore.

A former Restaurant Manager at Raffles Singapore, he brings five-star expertise in food and beverage, built through extensive work in hotels, restaurants, conference venues, and wine estates.

He brings his comprehensive knowledge to the Ommaroo team, emphasising the importance of great teamwork and ensuring that the Ommaroo maintains its reputation as one of Jersey’s leading hotels.

Natasha Gaudin

A Chartered Marketer, Natasha brings a wealth of invaluable marketing and business development experience across a range of industries, helping to strengthen the brand and uphold the Ommaroo as one of Jersey’s finest Hotels.

Natasha strives to ensure that every guest at the Ommaroo has an experience that’s tailored to their unique needs, helping to provide four-star service in a three-star price bracket.

Julian Nielson

Having completed an apprenticeship at the Royal Kitchen at Buckingham Palace, Julian worked for the Royal Family for three years, from 1989-1992. His passion for crafting food fit for the Royals has elevated the Hotel’s menus to new heights.

Julian is passionate about using local, seasonal produce and thrives on the challenge of developing dishes that reflect the seasons.
